A.I. is truly everywhere

I’ve been a strong believer in introducing technology that improves efficiencies and reduces time wasted on general admin tasks, freeing up time for the team to work on more creative tasks.

Like incorporating tools such as ChatGPT and Bard within our content creation strategy, ensuring the correct prompts are used based on its intended audience, adding in that much-needed human touch during editing, or adding a Chatbot application to a client’s website to improve their customer communications. AI has been changing the landscape of nearly every industry it has touched with its invisible hand.

But where will this digital AI revelation end? According to Twilio’s Segment Growth Report 2023, of the 2,450 marketing, CX, and data leaders surveyed from across industries, 88% of businesses have used some form of AI in their organisation in 2023, with 54% expected to spend more on AI-driven campaigns in the next 12 months. 90% of organisations believe AI will deliver either time or cost savings for their business with an astonishing 83% already experimenting with AI across their marketing channels.

One example is translation services, over the years I’ve used many translation providers for various projects that required multiple language translations. According to many in the industry, AI is now so powerful, that many prefer software such as DeepL as it goes far beyond word-for-word translations.

Another example is face swap apps like Vidnoz which can change faces from one photo to another at the click of a button. Here is an extreme example of my handsome, prince charming style face imposed on Manchester City’s Rodri, celebrating with his Champions League winner’s medal. I think out of the two images I prefer the one on the right, what do you think?

This type of AI software is now included with Google’s latest landmark smartphone the Pixel 8 and forms part of the highlights of their ad campaign.

With every human advancement in history, there will always be the late adopters, the ones that are just not sure if the development is such a good idea. Look at when we traded carriages for cars, it took over 50 years for this to happen.  But with the ridiculous almost ludicrous speed of technological advancements in AI, the implications are profound and far-reaching, to the point where AI will be truly everywhere.

What do you think about the AI revolution?
How is it affecting your business?
Are you planning to introduce AI in some way?
